Julie Rosser
In 1995, Julie Rosser, a long-standing Yass resident, decided to fulfill her passion for great flavorsome food by opening Yass Country Kitchen. It was not long before word spread about the quality and tastiness of her food, and this helped her business go from strength to strength.
During the years 1999-2003, Julie decided to test her cooking skills by entering the Great Aussie Pie Competition, and achieved a number of medals for her pies – even featuring in the Good Food Guide.
Aimee and Sharleen
While Julie owned the business, she trained and mentored many local young people as they worked in her shop, but there were two girls waiting for their turn. And so, when Julie decided to retire, we - Aimee and Sharleen - bought Yass Country Kitchen and now own and operate the shop, in which we spent a combined 30-years of our younger lives.
Since taking ownership of Yass Country Kitchen, we have tweaked the food, and we are weaving our personalities into the menu and the philosophy of the business – and we are proud to say that the food is still homemade and yummy. The passion for flavorsome food that Julie instilled in us is still going strong!
The evidence of this is that in 2022 we entered the National Australia's Best Pie Competition and proudly walked away with two medals and a merit to add to our already famous name.
Come and visit us - we look forward to feeding you!
